Throughout her diverse performance career, Ginny has performed as a solo pianist/vocalist and led many musical ensembles from small jazz combos to large bands. She has been a featured performer with symphony orchestras, musical theater productions, jazz ensembles, pop variety bands, and professional choral ensembles.

Ginny is the leader, founder, alto vocalist, and principal songwriter/arranger for the internationally acclaimed jazz vocal ensemble, the Uptown Vocal Jazz Quartet. Her original songs and arrangements have been performed by iconic jazz artists as well as professional and student jazz vocal ensembles across the world. Critics, radio hosts, listeners, and celebrities have praised her work as a standout for its creative originality, citing her delightfully literate lyrics, elegant melodies, and tight vocal harmony arrangements. Ginny and UVJQ have appeared on NPR, interviewed and profiled multiple times by veteran host Susan Stamberg, who declared herself a loyal fan. Their critically acclaimed recordings have been spotlighted multiple times on SiriusXM Satellite Radio and on Great American Songbook Radio, the Billboard Jazz Chart, Pandora Radio, Maryland Public Television, NPR, and many international radio programs and distinguished media worldwide. They have been featured performers on international jazz festivals in France, Canada, Detroit, Seattle, Clearwater and Miami, appearing on the bill with jazz giants Tony Bennett, Nancy Wilson, Sonny Rollins, Christian McBride, Joey DeFrancesco and many others. They have appeared as guest artists with numerous symphony orchestras and renowned big bands in the US and abroad, including the U.S. Army Blues and France’s Côte Ouest Big Band, opened concerts for jazz icons and been featured performers at countless music festivals, esteemed jazz clubs, concert series, universities, and feature events throughout the US. Ginny’s songwriting and arranging skills captured the interest of jazz greats Bob Dorough (composer of “Schoolhouse Rock”), Don Shelton (featured vocalist in Singers Unlimited and the Hi-Los), and legendary saxophonist Richie Cole, who recorded extensively with The Manhattan Transfer and enjoyed a superlative career of his own. Late in his career, Cole declared Ginny “My new discovery” and invited her to arrange his own songs for her group and collaborate with him on a recording featuring their collective original songs, resulting in the critically acclaimed album, “Vocal Madness.”

She and her UVJQ singing partner and fellow musical theater veteran Holly Shockey created the popular “Broads of Broadway” two-woman cabaret show, in which Ginny (piano and vocals) and Holly (vocals) don costumes and recreate the famous musical scenes and beloved songs of Broadway’s timeless classic shows.

Ginny has been a regular performer in recent years at multiple venues throughout the Lake Anna, VA area and serves as the Vice President of Lake Anna Jazz, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing renowned jazz artists' performances to the Lake Anna resort community.
